LinkedinCURRENT PROFESSIONAL SITUATION :

  • Associate professor (teacher-researcher) at La Rochelle University and LaSIE UMR CNRS 7356, France
  • Member of the Department of Physics at the Science and Technology Faculty of La Rochelle University.
  • Member of E4-axis “Durability, Microstructure, Protection and Coatings” of LaSIE CNRS laboratory
  • Member of DMSR “Durability, Metallurgy and surface reactivity” lead by Prof. Xavier FEAUGAS
  • Co-director of Professional Bachelor for Optician (Degree apprenticeships)
  • Teaching coordinator between La Rochelle University and EIGSI engineering school

RESEARCH TOPICS :

  • The relationship between microstructure and surface reactivity : Study of the impact of metallurgy at different scales on electrochemical processes and more particularly on the stages of adsorption and absorption of hydrogen, and dissolution and passivation of several metals and alloys,
  • Role of the metallurgical and mechanical states on the diffusion and trapping of hydrogen in metals : from the surface to the bulk of the material,
  • Heterogeneity of the plastic deformation, hydrogen / plasticity : Characterization of the crystalline defects induced by a mechanical strain, and the study of the interactions of these defects with solutes such as hydrogen,
  • Local approach of the fracture coupled to the diffusion processes : The understanding of the mechanisms of damage assisted by hydrogen (hydrogen embrittlement), by the installation of original facilities associating a mechanical stress and an aggressive environment.
  • Consequences of hydrogen on corrosion mechanisms : The impact of hydrogen absorption and desorption on dissolution and passivation of stainless steels.

Keywords : Durability, metallurgical states, crystalline defects, corrosion kinetics, adsorption, absorption, dissolution, passivation, diffusion and trapping of hydrogen, process coupling with mechanics, local approach to the fracture, hydrogen embrittlement, stress corrosion cracking.TEACHING EXPERIENCE
